Deep in the lush plantations of West Java and Lampung, millions of banana trunks are discarded every harvest. Where others saw waste, we saw resilience. We transform the overlooked banana fiber into intricate, eco-luxury textiles—weaving a story of rebirth in every thread.
Established in 2022 by Gita Noerwardhani, Seratnusa began as a response to a local crisis. In the plantations of West Java, banana trunks were seen as waste. We saw them as an opportunity.
Today, we stand as a beacon of circular fashion, turning organic waste into high-value textiles that honor both the earth and the artisan.
Waste is simply a resource that hasn’t found its purpose yet
Becoming a sustainable business through eco-friendly products made from banana trunks, loved by users, while involving women to become empowered and independent, and growing without the need to exploit nature.
Creating eco-friendly products by processing organic waste from banana trunks into aesthetically valuable and marketable products.
Moving forward together with the community, especially women, as a form of empowerment to foster independence and growth.
Encouraging circular economic growth by utilising organic waste.
Our fabric is woven by hands, not just machines. Across West Bandung, Cimahi, and Garut, we empower over 30 female artisans. By turning banana waste into yarn and textile, these women are not just weaving fabric; they are weaving a better future for their families—turning environmental stewardship into economic independence.

Supporting healthy and prosperous lives through safe, sustainable, and non-toxic materials.

Ensuring the positive economic impact is felt directly by those most in need, especially women.

Creating inclusive decent work by involving local communities in every stage of the production process.

Championing responsible production by reducing waste and creating eco-friendly products.
We are constantly pushing boundaries. In collaboration with BRIN, we are currently developing Banana Vegan Leather—a cruelty-free, plant-based alternative set to launch in 2026. The future of fashion is grown, not born.
Whether you are looking for a meaningful corporate gift, a sustainable hotel décor partner, or a unique piece for your collection—let’s weave a better future together.
